Set Sail on the Sea Mist

Join us on July 11, 2025 on a Thimble Island Cruise. We have chartered the Sea Mist which set sails at 7:00pm from 30 Indian Point Road in Branford, CT. The Sea Mist is a 44’ Carman Boat of Chesapeake design. There are two observation decks. The lower deck is equipped with a heating system and the interior can be sheltered for inclement weather. The upper deck is open to the breeze for observation and photos.
This is a 2-hour cruise around the thimble islands. The Thimble Islands were first discovered in 1614. They were used for everything from farming to quarrying granite, from bootlegging to hiding Captain Kidd’s treasure. Captain Kidd sailed to the islands in 1665.
We will hopefully catch glimpses of fireworks (not promised), raffles, cash bar, and some light snacks. Cost for this fundraiser is $50 per person. There is a bathroom and Bar on board. The bar is cash only and serves Beer, wine, rum punch and spirits. You are NOT allowed to bring your own food or beverages.
Children are allowed, and must be closely supervised by a parent or guardian. The ship can accommodate 1 non-motorized wheelchair. There is a ramp and then four steps down. The crew is not able to assist lifting wheelchairs or persons on board however, we can have volunteers assist if needed.
